Shaft Locking
Shaft locking assemblies are used for connecting two rotating elements together rigidly. The advantage of these over the conventional technique of welding components together is that the shaft can be easily replaced and they don't require a keyway. They consist of two tapered rings with screws that tighten the assembly pulling one taper up on the other expanding and locking the surfaces against each other. Removable shafts on drum assemblies, pulleys and sprockets on line shafts and on extended hollow shaft gearboxes to mate gearbox and shaft together.

Shaft Locking Assemblies
Taper Lock Bushes Taper lock bushes are designed to give the following:-A large range of bores are available off the shelf which ensures that an immediate assembly can be made, thus avoiding costly factory down-time. The bushes are machined with standard keyways. This, in addition to clamping screws is sufficient to meet the required torque.
